Configure Abandoned Cart Recovery

Configure the Abandoned Cart Recovery for your website and Facebook business page‌

Follow the steps below to configure the Abandoned Cart Recovery service and start recovering the unpaid carts of your customers.

Log into Abandoned Cart Recovery

Go to cart.pushwoosh.com and create an account.

If you have a Pushwoosh account already, contact our Customer Support team to log in with your Pushwoosh login and password.

1. Connect your Facebook page to Pushwoosh

If you have any apps created in Pushwoosh, you can select one of them to configure the Abandoned Cart Recovery, or create a new one.

1.1. First, give Pushwoosh access to your Facebook business page. That allows Pushwoosh to send messages on behalf of your business page on Facebook Messenger.

Press Login with Facebook to connect your Facebook page with the Pushwoosh Abandoned Cart Recovery Facebook app.

If you're logged into Facebook, you'll see the following pop-up. Press Continue as [account you're logged into] or log into another Facebook account.

1.2. Second, specify what pages to use with Pushwoosh Abandoned Cart Recovery. Check the business pages on behalf of which you're going to send Abandoned Cart Recovery reminders.

Please note you should have the management rights for the page you're going to use with the Abandoned Cart Recovery.

1.3. Then, grant the Pushwoosh Abandoned Cart Recovery permissions to manage your business page in order to send reminders.

2. Prepare your website for integration

Customers making purchases on your website can subscribe to receiving updates via Facebook Messenger by checking the Send to Messenger checkbox.

To link your site with the Facebook page, enter your site domain name here.

Then, choose a Facebook page to link with the site.

3. Integrate the Pushwoosh SDK

To track users actions and set up automated behavior-based Abandoned Cart Recovery reminders, integrate the Pushwoosh SDK into your website.

On this step, we'll create an app in Pushwoosh Abandoned Cart Recovery for your website and generate the code snippet containing the code of that app and the id of your Facebook page specified on step 2.

Copy the code snippet and integrate it into your site.

Make sure the code snippet is inserted before the closing </html>.

Refer to the Integration guide to learn more on initializing SDK and posting events.

The following interactions of Pushwoosh servers and Facebook API take place while saving parameters:
